Jeff Mauck, DVM
Dr. Mauck attended undergraduate and veterinary school at Purdue University and graduated in 1975 with his DVM. After graduation he returned to Boonville, and began practicing veterinary medicine at East Pines Animal Clinic with his late father, Dr. Benjamin Mauck. Over the years Dr. Mauck has had a high interest in small animal orthopedic surgery and has invested many hours of continuing education to further his skills in that area. He currently resides in Boonville with his wife, Patty.
Traci Scamahorn, DVM
Dr. Scamahorn attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York where she received her B.S. in Animal Science in 1994. She then attended Purdue University's Veterinary School and graduated in 1998 with her DVM. After moving to Boonville, she began practicing veterinary medicine at East Pines Animal Clinic. She currently resides in Boonville with her husband, Brad, and three children.
Sara Mauck Burns, DVM, DACVS-SA
Dr. Burns received her associate's degree at Vincennes University in 1998. She then attended the University of Missouri-St.Louis and received her B.S. in Biology in 2000. Dr. Burns attended Purdue University's Veterinary School and graduated in 2004 with her DVM. She continued her education at the University of Georgia as a small animal rotating intern in 2005. Following the internship, she completed a three-year small animal surgical residency at the University of Georgia from 2005-2008. In 2008, she joined East Pines Animal Clinic, and in 2012, she became a Board Certified Small Animal Surgeon. She currently resides in Boonville with her husband, Shawn, and two children.
Julie Weber, DVM
Dr. Weber received her B.S. in Biology and Animal Science at Purdue University in 2005. She then attended Purdue University's Veterinary School and graduated in 2009 with her DVM. She started practicing veterinary medicine at East Pines Animal Clinic that same year. Dr. Weber grew up in Kokomo, IN and currently resides in Chrisney with her husband, Matthew, and four children.
Breanna Brash, DVM, MS, DACVO
Dr. Brash grew up in southern New Hampshire and first moved to Indiana to attend undergraduate school at Purdue University, where she received her B.S in Animal Science in 2009. Dr. Brash attended veterinary school at Purdue University and graduated in 2012 with her DVM. She then continued her education by completing a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at Louisiana State University from 2012-2013. Following her internship, she completed a residency in comparative veterinary ophthalmology and received a master’s degree at The Ohio State University from 2013-2016. In 2016, she joined East Pines Animal Clinic, and in 2017, she became a Board Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist. Dr. Brash currently resides in Rockport with her husband, Matthew, two children, and three dogs.
Tara Foldenauer, DVM
Dr. Foldenauer received her B.S. in Biology-Chemistry from Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana in 1995. She attended Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1999. Dr. Tara currently resides in Newburgh with her husband Aaron, two children, two cats, two bearded dragons, and golden retriever.
Amanda Hart, Practice Manager
Amanda graduated form Central State University with a BS in Business Administration in 2022. She has 17 years of prior experience at All Pet Emergency Clinic, with 10 years in management, and 6 years at Parkdale Animal Hospital, with 3 years in leadership. Amanda joined our team at the end of 2024 and is interested in continuing to grow and learn in her current role. She grew up in Spencer County before moving to Evansville where she lives with her husband and two children. She loves cats and dogs and usually has a variety of other species mixed in.
Danni earned her AAS in Veterinary Technology and has been with East Pines since 2019. In her free time she enjoys being with her family, pets and working on her farm that offers a mobile petting zoo and cow cuddles amongst other products and services.
Tayhlor Hughes, RVT
Tayhlor earned her AAS in Veterinary Technology and has been with East Pines since 2020. She works in the Ophthalmology department and enjoys being able to provide services beyond general practice to the local community. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family.
Paige Worrick, RVT
Paige earned her AAS in Veterinary Technology and has been with East Pines since 2021. Paige has two cats at home, Aero and Dean. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family along with reading. You may also find Paige at VCA APEC a couple shifts per month.
Chloe Schaefer, RVT
Chloe graduated from OCTCU in May 2025 and joined East Pines' surgery department afterwards. She is excited to learn and grow with us!
Adrianna Edwards, RVT
Adri graduated from OCTCU in 2024. She has worked in Veterinary Medicine since 2021 and joined East Pines' Ophthalmology Department in September 2025. In addition to clinic work, Adri also helps rehabilitate cats and dogs at the Canine Aquatic Center. She is a proud cat mom and enjoys spending time with her husband & family.
Nicole Kraatz, VA
Nicole earned her AAS in Veterinary Technology and has been with East Pines since 2015. Nicole has been serving as the Referral Coordinator for the Surgery department since 2023. When not at work Nicole is a personal trainer, a foster mom to two beautiful girls-Bella and Evie, and a dog mom.
Cortney Klontz, VA
Cortney earned her AAS in Veterinary Technology and has been with East Pines since 2016. Cortney enjoys working at the front desk and is the General Practice liaison. In her free time she enjoys working conventions, listening to KPop and hanging out with her cats and dogs.
Heather Buechler, VA
Heather worked for East Pines from 2012-2018, then returned in 2019. She is a part of our General Practice and takes pride in helping keep your pets happy & healthy. Heather is a proud mom who enjoys spending time with her daughter, family & pets at home. While not at East Pines Heather also operates a grooming facility!
Katelyn Byrns, VA
Katelyn is attending Penn Foster for Veterinary Assisting to become an Approved Veterinary Assistant. She joined East Pines in July of 2024. Katelyn loves playing with her dog, Mavis, reading, going to concerts, and watching movies.
Sophia West, AVA
Sophia is an Approved Veterinary Assistant. She earned her certification from EKU and joined us in March of 2025. She is continuing her education in hopes of achieving becoming a DVM. Sophia is a cat mom and she loves to paint, read, and listen to music.
Leann Goffinet, VA
Leann graduated from Murray State University with a BS in Agriculture: Veterinary Technology in 2024 and has worked in Vet Med since 2019. She joined East Pines' General Practice in June of 2025. She is enjoying her new position and is looking forward to what the future holds. When she is not at work, Leann enjoys spending time with her husband, family and teaching a youth Bible study.
